Create a simple print from lines and patterns from one or more natural objects. Think of how you can fold a piece of paper in half and get a repeat of the paint, think of how a sponge can print a pattern, or a potato can create a printed design. Then try and make a simple mono print, by scratching into acrylic paint and pressing paper on top, and drawing directly onto the back when your paper is on an inked board.

Using a combination of photographs, leaves, seed heads and petals, we printed from actual objects, inking them up and playing with textures, made stencils, cut into potatoes to make stamps and inked up plates to create mono prints.

Simple colours and shapes, strong lines and a wonderful playful energy!
