single winter tree
reflected as sun rises
lonely only tree.

Our theme this week shows us the textures and lines of the changing landscapes, in the simple and archetypal structure of a wintery tree. Celebrating the wonder of nature preparing for rest and later re-awakening. Artists have explored this theme using a huge range of techniques and materials from acrylic and watercolour, charcoal, pen and pastel. Each picture captures an aspect of nature’s winter paintbox and reminds us that it’s beauty is still very much still alive.
Have a wonderful week, keep looking and drawing with your eyes!

Our pine forest changes over the seasons but these are subtle and not as dramatic as the glorious colours of deciduous trees in autumn or stark, sleeping winter trees ….but my neighbour has a little tree that I can see as I work in the kitchen and it does turn golden and red! Autumn has just started here now, the little tree is looking very pretty. I will send a picture! ππππ
