Many of these pictures were layered from last weeks stencils and gelli prints, and then decoupaged with layers of tissue paper, reprinted or painted over. Some are more abstract, some have detailed areas, some celebrate the theme with a beautiful drawing or painting but altogether they look like a box of amber jewels! Having a play and mixing different media for a change can be liberating and exciting, often opening pathways to new ideas, cementing skills and evolving our own creative language. Play is thoroughly essential!!
